About Us
A little about us...
Kenya Reading Organisation (KRO) is a community-based organisation formed with the main objective of bringing together Kenyans in Reading and its immediate surroundings to speak in one voice on matters that affect the community and unite around shared objectives. KRO intends to achieve these objectives through the creation of social, recreational, cultural and economic activities by working in partnership with existing statutory and voluntary organisations.
In order to address issues of major concerns that affect the community wellbeing like drug abuse, alcoholism, knife crime and anti-social behaviour, KRO intends to organise and promote social events like family fun days and community workshops in conjunction with existing social structures and organisations.
Kenya Reading organisation also aims at building strong social and cultural structures that target to mould the younger generation into positive growth and development by involving them in community activities. The promotion of Kiswahili subject will be key in preserving and enhancing our cultural heritage.
